Compare keeps the draft read-only so image adjustments can be judged before they change the applied Pattern.
- Source-to-draft comparison
- Keep the adjusted source and generated bead draft in the same workspace instead of comparing separate screenshots.
- Split view
- Move the divider to inspect source detail and draft structure side by side.
- Overlay view
- Place the draft over the source and adjust both opacity controls to check alignment and lost detail.
- Image adjustment handoff
- Change the available image adjustments, inspect the new draft, then apply only when the result is ready.
Upload, compare, then apply
Open Workbench creates a project and opens Compare. Preview Export prepares a pattern without adding a project; choose Edit in Workbench when you want to continue editing.
Upload the source image
Upload an image, choose an example, or continue your latest project. After uploading, choose Open Workbench or Preview Export.
Open Compare when ready
Open Workbench creates the Project and opens Compare; Preview Export lets you inspect an export without adding a Project.
Apply when the draft is ready
Apply the checked adjustments, then switch to Pattern for bead editing or open export from the applied Pattern.
Checks worth making before you edit beads
Use Compare for source-image decisions and Pattern for bead-level drawing. The shared Export button is available in every workbench mode.
Balance subject and background
Inspect whether background detail competes with the main subject after conversion.
Judge an image adjustment
Compare the draft after changing brightness, contrast, saturation, or other available source controls.
Catch detail loss early
Use Overlay and opacity controls to spot areas that need source adjustment before bead editing begins.
Continue with the right workspace
Once the source decision is settled, move to the mode that owns the next job.

What is the difference between Split and Overlay?
Split places source and draft on opposite sides of a movable divider. Overlay layers them in the same area so you can adjust source and Pattern opacity independently.
Can I edit beads while I am in Compare?
No. Compare is read-only. Apply the checked image adjustments, then switch to Pattern to edit individual beads.
Can I export the Compare draft?
Export uses your current applied pattern. To include the changes shown in a Compare preview, apply them first. You can open Export from Compare, Pattern or Crafting.
Where are the image adjustment controls?
Open Compare and choose Image tools in the right sidebar, or use the floating toolbar. Crop, Adjust, Magic and Shape share the same preview.
Where are the pattern generation settings?
Open Pattern tools in Pattern mode and expand Pattern generation. Preview the changes in Compare before applying them. Brand, palette and board size remain in the shared setup sidebar.
