Use the Editor

The Workbench keeps one Project across three modes. Prepare the image in Compare, edit the applied bead grid in Pattern, and mark placed beads in Crafting. Switch above the canvas without creating another Project.

Open a Project

Choose a picture or example, then select Open Workbench. To return to saved work, use All Patterns or Continue creating in Dashboard. A Showcase detail page may also offer Open in Editor. Preview Export can show a result before a Project is created; choose Edit in Workbench there to keep working.

To draw without a source image, open Dashboard and choose Blank pattern. Set the name, palette and grid size, then select Create blank pattern. This starts directly in Pattern; the drawing guide covers the first beads, saving and next steps.

Choose your next task

• Compare prepares the source image and checks a draft against the applied Pattern in Split or Overlay. Confirm a Crop or other pending source change before exporting.

• Pattern edits the applied bead grid. Pencil, Eraser, Pick Color, color-wide changes, Undo, and Reset Changes are covered there.

• Crafting keeps the Pattern read-only while you mark physical beads as placed and resume that Project later.

You can enter from image to bead pattern for Compare. Starting with Perler beads? Use the Perler Bead Pattern Maker to create an editable Pattern with Perler Midi selected. The mode guides include their own Image tools, Pattern tools, and Progress tab.

Set up and inspect

The shared left sidebar controls what the next Pattern will use. Choose a Source, set board and size, then choose colors and Update. Stash contains color types marked in Inventory, not physical quantities. The right Info reports the currently applied Pattern. Both sides are introduced in Shared controls.

For bead edits, use Pattern. Fit, Center, Guides, and Maximize help inspect the canvas without changing beads. The header toggles hide sidebars when you need more space.

Export and continue

Apply a pending Compare draft or left-sidebar change before exporting; only the applied Pattern enters the file. Crop confirmation already applies that crop, so no second toolbar Apply is needed. Open Export Options for formats and allowances, or continue assembling in Crafting.
