Edit your bead pattern

Change beads, manage used colors, and inspect the applied Pattern

Pattern is the mode for editing the applied bead grid. Switch to it above the canvas after creating a Project or confirming a source in Compare. Your bead edits affect the Pattern used by Export.

Choose a color, then edit individual beads in Pattern.

  1. The current color and its bead count stay visible above the tools.
  2. The floating bar keeps frequent editing tools near the canvas.

Change a few beads

  1. Choose Draw and select a color. The Quick Palette shows your current color; select it to reopen Add Color.
  2. Select a bead on the canvas to color it. Choose Erase to clear a bead.
  3. If a change lands in the wrong place, use Undo and try again.

Result: the applied Pattern reflects the bead edit. Pick can sample a bead on the canvas and make it the next Draw color.

Tip: zoom in before changing isolated beads. Fit, Center, Guides, and Maximize help you inspect the canvas without changing Pattern data or exported files.

Change a color throughout the Pattern

Use Delete Color when you want to remove one used color everywhere: select it, choose the color on the canvas or in Used Colors, check the swatch and bead count, then select Delete. There is no second browser confirmation; use Undo if you selected the wrong color.

Use Swap Colors to exchange two used colors. Select each color in turn, check both swatches, then select Swap. After either temporary color action, the previous editing tool returns.

Move repositions a design within its existing grid; Flip Horizontal mirrors it; Denoise / Clean removes isolated beads. Reset Changes returns to the state loaded when the Project opened or the most recently generated Pattern. It does not start over from the source image.

Choose colors for the next update

The right Pattern tools panel controls sampling, color matching, dithering, and cleanup for the next generation. The left sidebar controls the brand, palette, board layout, and colors. Choose All for the palette or Stash for color types you own. Excluding a color or changing Pattern tools stays pending until you select Update. The current Pattern may still contain an excluded color before that update.

For the complete Stash and Excluded workflow, see Choose colors and update. Stash records owned color types, not physical bead quantities. Board layout and Pro Exact size are covered in Board and size.

Inspect and finish

The right Info tab summarizes dimensions, palette, export readiness, and used colors. Select a used color to inspect its count and share. See Pattern information for the applied counts and Shared controls for the panel relationship.

When the Pattern is ready, open Crafting to track physical assembly or Export Options to choose a file format. Export uses this applied Pattern; pending Compare image changes and pending sidebar settings are not included.
