Beadify User Guide

Beadify turns a source image into a bead pattern you can compare, edit, export, and follow while placing real beads. Start with the workflow below, then open a detailed guide when you need a specific tool.

1. Start With An Image

You can begin from the homepage uploader, a Showcase example, a template, or a saved Image Asset. The uploader creates a Project and opens the Editor. Choose Advanced options first when you want to set the board, palette, crop, or source preparation before creating the Pattern.

Signed-in makers can keep uploaded images, generated results, and prepared source images in Image Assets. An Image Asset is the source; a Pattern is the bead grid you edit, export, publish, or download.

2. Choose A Workspace Mode

The Editor has three modes. Pick the one that matches what you are doing now:

• Pattern is the editable bead grid. Use it to draw, erase, pick, replace, move, flip, or clean beads.
• Compare shows the adjusted source and a draft Pattern in Split or Overlay. Apply the draft before editing or exporting it.
• Crafting keeps the Pattern read-only while you mark beads as placed. Progress stays with that Project in the same browser.

You can switch modes above the canvas without creating another Project. Pattern is the only mode that changes bead data; Compare prepares a draft, while Crafting records physical progress separately.

3. Set Up A Buildable Pattern

New Projects start with Perler Mini 2.6 mm and a one-board 57 x 57 grid. Choose Board layout when you want the Pattern to match complete physical boards. Beadify preserves the source image ratio and leaves unmatched cells blank instead of stretching the image.

Select the bead brand, palette, board count, background handling, and image adjustments before you generate. Pro members can use Exact size for a custom grid starting at 32 x 32 instead of fitting the result to whole boards.

4. Edit And Check The Pattern

Use the floating tools in Pattern mode for bead-level changes. The left panel owns the source and generation settings; the right Pattern tab summarizes the grid, bead counts, top colors, and export readiness. Larger palette and image controls open in the Details tab.

5. Export, Save, Or Share

When the Pattern is ready, export an image, PDF Pack, SVG, XLSX inventory, or JSON backup. Free accounts can export one-board Patterns with up to 16 colors within the shared daily allowance. Pro removes that daily limit and adds multi-board, higher-color, higher-resolution, and branding controls.

Apply any Compare or Details draft before export so the downloaded file matches the editable Pattern. Signed-in makers can also sync the current Project state, then submit an eligible result to Showcase.
