Compare your image and pattern

Prepare a source image, inspect the draft beside your beads, and apply the result

Use Compare when you need to prepare the source image or check how it becomes a bead Pattern. The source and draft share a view; the exported file still uses the applied Pattern until you confirm a change.

Compare keeps the source, Pattern preview, and confirmation in view.

  1. Crop, Adjust, and Magic prepare the image; the visible sliders belong to Adjust.
  2. The floating toolbar keeps frequent tools near the image and holds the pending-change actions.

Start with a source

Open Image to bead pattern, choose an image or example, and select Open Workbench. You can also switch an existing Project to Compare. In the left Source row, Upload / Replace selects another local image; Library selects a saved Image Asset when you are signed in.

Replacing a source opens a preview while preserving the applied Pattern. If you cancel, the previous source and Pattern remain. Confirm the preview only after checking the result.

Check the source against the beads

Choose Split to compare the adjusted source and draft Pattern side by side. Drag the divider to inspect an edge. Choose Overlay to stack them; adjust Source and Pattern opacity to locate missing areas or misplaced colors. These viewing controls do not edit the bead grid.

The right Image tools panel belongs to Compare. Crop and Shape work as one crop preview. Adjust changes image properties, while available image actions such as Magic start from this source view. Review their result before applying it to the Pattern. The shared source, palette, board, and Info controls are covered in Workbench settings.

Before starting an AI image action, check the available credits and that action's cost beside the tools. A known insufficient balance blocks the start; if the balance cannot be confirmed, retry the check. While the task is processing or its status is unconfirmed, source-image edits wait for its outcome. You can still change the view or switch Workbench modes. If a result finishes while you are in Pattern or Crafting, a small task reminder can point you back to Compare.

Beanie's X closes the notice for this task's current state in this browser, including after a reload; it does not stop the task or apply a result. A new ready or failed state may notify you again. Use View task or Tasks & credits to find the task, and use Check status when its outcome is unconfirmed. That check does not start another AI action or spend more credits.

Crop and apply once

Choose the circle shape, inspect the Pattern beside it, then confirm the crop with the check button.

  1. The circle shape is selected; the check button confirms the crop and shape together.
  1. Choose Crop, select the Shape, and move or resize the crop on the image.
  2. Check the draft with Split or Overlay.
  3. Confirm inside the crop area. The crop and shape are applied together; check the resulting Pattern.

Result: the applied Pattern reflects that crop. The toolbar's Apply action is no longer needed for the crop you just confirmed. When the toolbar cannot fit below the crop, it may appear above it; use the confirmation attached to the crop.

Tip: leave room around the subject before confirming so edge beads are not cut off unexpectedly. If you make a separate image adjustment afterward, review and apply that new draft on its own.

Finish and continue

After applying the source result, open Pattern to edit beads, or Crafting to track your build. Export uses the applied Pattern; a pending Compare draft is not included. See Export Options before final delivery. Opening a preview does not use export allowance.
