Export an Image

Make a PNG, JPEG, or WebP Pattern image

Use Image Export for a visual reference, a shareable picture, or a Pattern sheet. Start with a finished Project in Dashboard.

Make the Image

  1. Open the Project in the Workbench. Confirm image edits in Compare and click Update for pending Pattern settings or colors.
  2. Click Export in the Workbench header and select Image Export.
  3. In the preview, choose Pattern sheet for the Pattern, header, and color legend, or Pattern only for just the bead area. Select PNG, JPEG, or WebP under File format.
  4. Set Resolution. For a sheet, review Cell labels and Legend position. For Pattern only, choose its square or round style and board background. Inspect the preview, then click Export.

The result is a downloaded image. Standard (1280px) is available to everyone and is Free's fixed resolution. Paid users may choose 2K (2048px) or 4K (4096px) when the device and Pattern can prepare it safely. If the preview warns that cells are hard to read, adjust the Pattern or use an available higher resolution before exporting. SVG has its own vector output and does not use these raster resolutions.

Save This Image to Image Assets

Before the final Export, hover or keyboard-focus the Export button to preview its options, or open the adjacent upward arrow. Check Save this export to Image Assets if you also want a copy in your library. The checkbox starts off for each new export and applies only to this download. Saved exports share capacity with source images. If the file downloads but the asset save fails, use Retry save in the options; check its status before assuming the copy is in Image Assets. PDF, SVG, XLSX, and JSON do not offer this option.

A Pro 2K example: the checked option saves a copy of this Image Export to Image Assets. Free Image Export uses Standard resolution.

  1. The checkbox applies to this export only; check the save status after downloading.

For a share image, use the sharing controls while Image Export is selected. Sharing does not submit to Showcase. Check the preview for readable labels before exporting a large Pattern.
