Use Perler Midi 5 mm beads, one square 29 × 29 pegboard, bead ironing paper and an iron handled by an adult.

How to build it

  1. Print the PDF at 100% (Actual Size) with Fit to Page turned off. Check its 50 mm ruler before using the 5 mm grid.
  2. Start with the two top lobes. Work down one row at a time, narrowing each row toward the point.
  3. Check the color totals and outline before ironing. Every numbered cell takes one bead; leave blank cells empty.
  4. Have an adult fuse the beads using ironing paper and the bead manufacturer’s instructions. Let the design cool before lifting it.
